NVR & IP Camera Guides

1. With PTZ camera connected to PoE port of NVR, connect laptop to the same router wifi or via LAN cable. If no router in use, connect laptop direct to LAN port on NVR.

2. Open Microsoft Edge and login into the NVR using its IP address (Found under Network settings > TCP/IP on NVR).

3. Once logged into NVR, browse to Function Panel > Camera:

   

4. Click on the "Settings" cog at the camera

   

5. Login into the camera (Default login: User: Admin  Password:123456)

   

6. Select PTZ function

   

7. Move camera to desired position using direction controls.

   

8. Click create and then give preset a name:

   

9. Under "Event" select Region intrusion.

   

10. Click "Area" and create an area intrusion on the camera image:

    

11. Select "Smart Tracking" under Event

    

12. Set tracking mode to "PTZ Tracking Priority". This will save automatically.

    

    The camera will now track humans who cross the intrusion area.

1. Connect an RJ45 cable from the LAN port of the NVR to the network switch, then connect the IP camera to the same switch.

   

2. Connect your laptop to the same switch using a LAN cable. Open Network Settings.

   

3. Select Change adapter options.

   

4. Right-click the Ethernet adapter and choose Properties.

   

5. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

   

6. Select Use the following IP address, enter the required IP settings, click OK, then close the previous window.

   

7. Download and install the Viper Camera Configuration Tool.

8. Open the software and locate the camera (default IP: 192.168.226.201). Select Batch Set Net, ensure Obtain Automatically is selected, enter password 123456, then click Batch Set.

   

9. Once the IP address changes successfully, log into the NVR, go to Settings → Camera → Add Camera. The recorder will detect the camera automatically.

1. Connect the camera and your laptop to the same network switch.

2. Launch the Viper Camera Configuration Tool.

   

3. The software will display any connected cameras.

   

4. Select the camera, re-enter its MAC address in the field provided, then click Restore.

   

5. Click OK on the confirmation prompt. The camera will be restored to its factory default settings.

1. Log into the recorder and navigate to Settings → AI Event → LPR. Select the required LPR camera.

2. Select the Area tab and draw the vehicle detection area along with the license plate detection zone.

3. Adjust the License Plate Exposure slider if lighting conditions are too bright or too dark.

4. Captured number plates can be viewed later under Intelligent Analytics.

   

Preset

1. With the PTZ camera connected to the PoE port on the Viper NVR, log in to the NVR and navigate to Settings → Camera → PTZ.

2. Use the directional controls to position the camera at the desired preset location.

3. Click Add, enter a preset name and preset number, then click OK.

Cruise

1. Open the Cruise tab and click the + icon to create a new cruise.

2. Add the desired presets and configure the dwell time and movement speed for each preset.

3. Save the cruise and click the Play icon to begin automatic cruising between presets.

4. You can also create a scheduled task to automatically run a Preset, Cruise or Scan at specific times.
