Quick Start

Commander: Connect cameras to PoE ports, display, mouse and router.

 

 

Patriot/Admiral: Connect PoE switch, router and mouse, monitor.

 

 

When prompted, launch Settings Wizard.

  1. Create and confirm a new password.
  2. Set date, time and NTP server.
  3. Enable PNP (will give IP addresses to cameras automatically). Enable DHCP.
  4. Network Port settings (only change if required)
  5. DDNS (only use if P2P is NOT an option) Reboot if prompted.

Finally a QR code will be displayed to sync NVR with mobile phone app.

Adding cameras (If unsure if cameras are compatible, contact technical 02392488302)

  1. With cameras already connected, right click and login to NVR. Browse to IP Camera > IP Camera management.
  2. Top section shows cameras detected, bottom section shows cameras added.
  3. Select camera from top list and press "Add Selected", camera  will show in bottom box. If not online within 5 minutes, click edit and check camera password is correct (if unsure, call technical)

Recording Schedule

  1. Login to NVR, go IP cameras > Recording Schedule.
  2. Use mouse to highlight days and times required for recording and type of recording (motion/constant).

Password Reset

1. Right click

2. Select Login

3. Select Forgot Password

4. Send picture of screen to support@puretechsecurity.co.uk

5. Once you receive password, enter the password into the login window with username as "admin"

User Management

Adding a user

  1. On the NVR, right click and go to the Settings Option select Settings Login.
  2. Once in the Settings Menu select User.
  3. Select Add User, you will then be asked to fill out the below fields, once complete press ok to add your new user:
  • Username: the name of the user.
  • Password: the password for the unit.
  • Re-type Password: re-enter your password to make sure it is correct.

Deleting a user

  1. On the NVR, right click and go to the Settings Option select Settings Login.
  2. Once in the Settings Menu then select the User option.
  3. Your list of users are down the left-hand side.
  4. Select the account you wish to delete (you cannot delete the admin user as this is the system default) then press Delete a User.
  5. Press OK to confirm deletion.

Changing a Password

  1. On the DVR, right-click and go to the Settings option select Settings Login.
  2. Once in the Settings menu then select the User option.
  3. Your list of users are down the left hand side, select the account you wish to change.
  4. Select Change Password.
  5. Enter new password in the New Password field, repeat in the Re-Type Password field.
  6. Press Change to save the password.

Playback & Backup

Step 1: Playback

  1. Right click on your mouse and select Playback
  2. This will then take you to the playback screen.
  3. On the right-hand side is your option for playback where you can set the date, time and cameras you wish to view. By default, the unit will show you 1 camera. Drag the camera you wish to view into the empty window.
  4. You can view multiple cameras by changing the layout at the top right and dragging the additional cameras.
  5. You will then see your recorded footage start to play and you will see a timeline along the bottom of the screen.
  6. Normal recorded footage will show in green and motion recordings as a spike in the timeline. (Please refer to the motion detect guide on how to set this up) You can click anywhere on the timeline to view that point.

Step 2: Backup

  1. On the playback screen select the option for Incidents.
  2. Select New to create a new Incident.
  3. You will then be asked to select what cameras you wish to save and the date and time they occurred.
  4. Once you have selected the right options, press OK.
  5. This will save your incident.
  6. You can repeat this for multiple events.
  7. Once you have added all the events you want to save, select the yellow save icon on the playback screen.
  8. Connect your USB device and select it as the Backup Drive.
  9. Select the incidents you wish to save and press Backup Now.
  10. This will save your incidents to the USB which can be viewed using a media player such as VLC or Windows Media Player.
