Smart Illumination

Adding IP camera Via PoE switch (Using NVR)

  1. Connect IP camera to any PoE port on a gigabit PoE switch. Link the uplink port on switch to LAN port of recorder.

  2. Login to recorder, go to Camera > Camera List. (The camera should appear with a red cross showing "Uninitialised)

  3. Select camera and click "Initialize" top right.

    Select DHCP if a router is connected Set a static IP if no router is connected.
  4. Click search device, camera will show with new IP. Select the camera and click "Add". Camera will now show live in the bottom section.

Adding IP camera via PoE switch (With Laptop)

  1. Connect IP camera to any PoE port on a gigabit PoE switch. Link the uplink port on switch to LAN port of recorder.

  2. Login to recorder, go to Camera > Camera List.

  3. Select "Uninitialised" and click refresh at top of window.

  4. Select camera, click initialise, give camera password and set an email for passwrod reset.

  5. Click "Search Setting" and enter new camera password.

  6. Select camera and click "Batch modify IP", choose DHCP (if router is connected to switch) and click ok. (camera will show a green tick once DHCP applied. Click refresh to see new IP.

  7. Login to recorder, go to Main Menu > Camera > Camera List

  8. Select the new camera from the top box, clikkc "Add". The camera will appear in bottom box.

    If camera does not come online straight away, wait 2 minutes OR edit camera and enter password you created.

Thermal

Thermal cameras can detect hot and cold elements within an environment as well as changes in temperature.

Main functions include:

  • IVS (Intelligen Video Service) = Tripwire or Area Intrusion
  • Fire Warning = Triggers alert based on detecting a fire as small as a lighter flame.
  • Call Detection = Will detect when a human is suign a mobile phone.
  • Smoking Detection = Alerts upon detecting smoke.
  • Hot trace = Shows a thermal mal with varying colour schemes for different temperatures.
  • Pic in Pic = Displays a mini thermal image ontop of original standard image.

Change Video Mode (Coax)

  1. With Dahua camera working on Dahua DVR, right click live view select PTZ control.

  2. Click the "+" iris, which should bring up the OSD (on screen display) menu.

  3. Use the directional buttons to navigate to Advanced and click iris "+".

  4. Navigate to "Video Type" and use the directional buttons to select a different video mode.

    (If camera is going onto a Viper use TVI).

  5. Click iris "+" to select the new video mode and again to confirm it.
